Fort Myers, FL

Fort Myers is the historical and governmental hub of Lee County. Positioned along the scenic shoreline of the Caloosahatchee River, the city is a combination of young and old. The City of Fort Myers is home to the celebrated winter residences of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. During his winters here, Thomas Edison planted Royal Palms all along historic McGregor Boulevard. This event entitled Fort Myers the “City of Palms” moniker. The historic, beautiful homes of the Firestones, the Edisons and the Fords still set the tone for the gracious and beautiful riverfront.
